Learning Outcomes
Please describe the learning outcomes of the course: Knowledge, skills and abilities acquired after the successful completion of the course.
The course syllabus aims at deepening management knowledge and its practical application through the examination of particular cases of Greek forests:  wood-producing forests, coppice forests under conversion, resin producing forests, recreational forests, national parks and protected areas, special forms of forest and forestlands.

 

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:

·  Specify and clearly define the management objectives of each case of forest.

·  Explain the interactions between the objectives and assesses the offsets of achieving the management goals on other services of forest ecosystems.

·  Distinguish the type of information needed in each forest case, search for data and information necessary for the management planning.

·  Process the data using the management methodology and available technology and form a picture of the current situation and trends of the forest ecosystem.

·  Analyzes the processing results and draws conclusions for the management of each forest case.

Written assignment. Written final exam with questions (knowledge, conclusion, problem solving).

Mid-term evaluation exercises/work.

Students with identified dyslexia problems are examined orally.

The evaluation criteria of the written assignment are explicitly defined and announced prior to the assignment (e-class).

The topics of the written final exam include the points with which each question is evaluated. The students’ grades are announced on the electronic platform. The student can see his writing.
