·        The aim of the course is to provide students with a thorough grounding in the basic principles of technical works, familiarize themselves with a range of building materials and their properties, and gain insights into their usefulness on the grounds of their cost effectiveness and eco-friendliness. Thus, upon completion of the course, students will be able to successfully select those building and structural materials that are suitable for specific technical works and simple forest engineering projects.

Alternative ways of examining a course in emergency situations

  Written assignments submitted on eclass.duth.gr platform
  Course examination will take place via the ‘Assignments’ tool of the e-class platform (eclass.duth.gr), in accordance with the time schedule announced by the Department’s Secretariat.

Individual written assignments will be submitted at the end of the semester and students will be evaluated on them.

Entitled to the examination are all the students who have registered for the course at the beginning of the semester, in compliance with the University’s Rules of Studies, on condition that they have declared on the e-University Services platform that they are fully aware and agree with the terms of distance examination.

Students will have to access the eclass.duth.gr platform via their university account.
