- LEARNING OUTCOMES
Learning Outcomes | |
Please describe the learning outcomes of the course: Knowledge, skills and abilities acquired after the successful completion of the course. | |
The course material aims to teach students the structure of wood, its chemical composition and the chemical composition of bark and foliage. Also in learning the distribution of chemical components in cell walls. As well as learning the structural components of the cell wall (cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin) as well as the extracts. Also in learning the chemical properties of wood, the chemical utilization of wood, the chemical products of wood
Upon successful completion of the course the student will be able to: • recognize the chemical composition and analysis of tree bark and foliage, the distribution of chemical components in cell walls, the properties of wood chemicals, the chemical properties and chemical behavior of wood as a solid material and finally the various chemicals produced or can be produced from wood • apply laboratory experiments to determine extracts, lignin, whole cellulose, hemicelluloses
